Jwfacts-- More Lies But This Time About The Great Crowd
by Recovery injwfacts has an article that explains why the great crowd must be in heaven.
i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.
1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

i still haven't done christmas, but last halloween was my first halloween since i was maybe 6 or 7.
it was a great experience. i've always liked halloween, even as a jw.
so that day, started off terrible. i was depressed as can be. didn't really want to do anything, etc.
a friend called me up and asked if i wanted to go check out the parade downtown, so i figured, "why not"?
i dressed up as tyrone biggums, had a great time at the parade, was offered REAL CRACK from a stranger (surreal experience), and ended up bar hopping in lower manhattan. probably one of the best experiences i've ever had
if you have the opportunity to do halloween and you have a couple good ffriends to go along with, DO IT!

i dunno if you're still reading this thread, but the walsh trial is a good one. you can even find the actual court transcript online and in there they admit to pushing false prophecy...in court.
there's also the part where they admit it's better for everyone to believe the same lie than for everyone to think for themselves and go every which way.
another suggestion is the san diego trial of gonzalo campos i believe his name was. in the court docs, the wts says that:
1. witnesses don't have to go to meetings
2. don't have to go out in service
3. jws don't have to start bible studies, in fact that's NOT the purpose of fs at all! this is stated/typed in binding court docs
4.jws don't have to invite anyone to meetings, again...court docs
reason why they make all those points? to limit liability when it comes to what sexual predators are being brought into the kingdom halls
the last suggestion i have is the timeline for john dorman's abuse. he was first abused as a 5 year old child. a man who eventually became an elder started abusing 5 year old john dorman when he was first an ms if i remember right. this continued for years and the elders did nothing despite knowing about the accusations of child molesting floating around him

Jwfacts, Why Do You Equate Miracles With Magic?
by Recovery ini have a question for the author of the website jwfacts.
as i was reading the sparlock article, i couldn't help but notice something seriously wrong:.
"the bible abounds in vivid fantasy, such as its many celestial descriptions, or the portrayal of warring kingdoms with imaginary beasts.. the sparlock message is confusing, as much for an adult as for a child, as the bible shows that god's followers practice magic, even if they are usually referred to as miracles.

does it actually exist?
14 pages discussing things that have a high likelihood of not even being real in the first place lol

i think the first question that should be asked is if magic or miracles are actually possible.
if they are possible, then questioning the difference between magic and miracles makes sense and demanding the author retract/edit is reasonable.
if they are not possible and do not exist in reality, then the statement made can take on different meanings.
